Shumway delivers! I relocated from Texas and didn't have any references for a painter so I did a Google search. Matt is professional, efficient, personable, and a great value for the cost. Now that I am aware that he does other handyman jobs, I will be using his services again in the future.
I was skeptical at first because his quote was so much lower than all our other estimates. However, he did such a wonderful job painting our exterior. He was always willing to meet our meticulous demands and was fair and professional throughout the whole process. Thanks Matt!
I recently hired Shumway Painting to paint the exterior of my two-story home. There was wood rot in various places to both the T-1-11 siding as well as various trim pieces and facia. As the repairs took place, we discovered more than what we originally anticipated. Matt made everything right, kept me well-informed along the way, and was careful not to skyrocket the final costs. If anything, I felt his final cost was far below what it should have been. Matt's work was excellent throughout. Where he especially shines is in his prep work, the thing that makes any paint job last for years. I highly recommend his services and will certainly use him for interior painting we have planned this winter.n(UPDATE)) We had Matt back to paint most of the upstairs and half the downstairs of our home. Fantastic! Quality work, a real professional who uses quality materials. My best recommendation? We will have him back to paint the cellar rooms in the coming weeks.
The folks with Shumway Painting did an excellent job for us. The owner, Matt, was very professional and courteous. He always took the time to explain the steps of the project and it was evident that he takes extra effort when prepping the house for paint (caulking every seam). Matt also came out twice for touch-ups. I would highly recommend his group.
