We have used Smart Power Services for many projects. All of the workers are concerned about safe work habits, and do great work. They are all clean cut workers that you would feel safe having them in your home or office. I would recommend SPS to all of my friends and family.

My elderly parents purchased a generator from this company and as the othe gentlemen stated have had numerous problems with it for 3 years. This generator should have been replaced immediatly, but they went through all of the same excuses as Gary's review stated almost to the exact t! Now that a storm is moving in and my elderly father is on 24 hour oxygen, Smart Power Services has told them the warranty is up and they won't do anything and my parents need to call manufacturer, to the tune of a $1000.00 service call. Smart Power Services promised me they would replace this unit to my face. I would not recomend this company.

This review is based on the company’s behaviors during the past few months after our secondary power generator failed to operate. The installation by this company went very well, but their ability to provide support services is non-existent. Our unit was installed to operate on propane since we don’t have gas service to our home. During the cold winter and on the coldest day of the year, we lost power and our generator failed to operate. Over three-months (without an operational generator), we requested assistance from Smart Power. They sent out a technician in January that could never truly diagnose the problem. We continued to request they determine the cause of the failures and we also kept asking if it was a fuel problem. We were told each time we asked about the fuel that the pressures were adequate, and the failure wasn’t a fuel problem. They diagnosed it as more of a generator issue and ordered new parts. After multiple visits by Smart Power and during this down time, I contacted Kohler and then CK Power (the company and provided the Kohler generator). CK Power sent out technicians and immediately defined the concern as a fuel issue. We had already ordered a higher volume propane tank to be installed and had it placed, filled and connected. Again, I had to contact and request Smart Power return as they had left my unit dismantled. In the end, we were billed for each time we had to request they come out and attempt to diagnose the problem and to finally re-assemble our unit. And, they also damaged our retaining wall next to our unit and failed to pay for the repairs. We do not recommend this company for conducting repair services and will no longer allow them to do annual maintenance on our unit.
