Ranch Cafe

I have been eating at Ranch Cafe for years. The past 2 times I was there the service was great. The quality of food has decreased, quite a bit. My food was warm, not hot. It tasted warmed over, and even a bit stale. I think I will be moving on. I usually get apple juice and biscuits and gravy. Not any more.

After a long day at the Farmers Market in Overland Park, we decided to come and give Ranch Cafe a try.nWhen we arrived, we were met by the friendliest faces, the owner and staff. We were seated and were taking our orders. By the way, they serve breakfast all day. I ordered a plate of bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. All this for $6.70. I got a nice serving of eggs, 4 toast halves, hash browns, and 4 bacon. It was more than enough to satisfy me. The other 2 guys each ordered a full plate of biscuits uits and gravy with sausage. They told me they loved it but couldn't handle the huge serving. Yes, the servings were very generous.nThe service was awesome! It's not the service that treats you as if you were just a number. Our waitress really cared! She came around enough to refill our glasses, but she also asked if we needed anything else. And she didn't come around too often and interrupt our meals. Everything about the service and timing with our waitress was perfect.nThe establishment was clean. The atmosphere was homely. We had an exceptional time here. As we got ready to leave, the owner came and asked us about the food and service. It was apparent that she cared. When we were addressed by the owner or the staff, it felt more family-like than business-like.nI must say that this is now my favorite eating place. I did look and study their menu. They have many choices to order from. Will I be back? Absolutely! Can't wait to try out some of their other menu items!nOne other thing; they gave us a drink to go as we got ready to complete the last 90 minutes of our drive.nAnd before I forget, Google Maps shows an x on dine in, which means they do not offer dine-in. They DO have dine-in. Please try this place! You won't be sorry.

Our usual breakfast spot was closed so we stopped in to see what this was all about. It felt like someone had converted a thrift store into a brunch place and the food was filling but nothing spectacular. That being said the staff was super nice so and it was definitely better than Ihop or Denny's.

I tried this place as my regular was not available, the waitress was great,but the food quality was horrid, I was served saturated fat and grease that had taken on the appearance of French toast, i took two bites and decided to order eggs. .nAs I paid, the person at the register whom was aware of the bad food, still charged me for the heart clogging breakfast toast and stated that ,they would let the cook know...Whatever that means...nSo ,good luck to those that eat here..and makesure you have your insurance paid up....

Great service always... good food at a good price... one of the few good places to put on your places of good eats in Grandview
