Great trails at varying elevations from creek/river bottoms to blufftop grasslands. Lots if great geologic features, floral and fauna
It COULD be a great little hiking spot...except the trail is not being maintained. If you decide to brave it, wear lots of tick repellent. No, seriously, a LOT.
The trail is near impossible to find from Blue River Road. I guess there is a trailhead there, but it’s littered with trash, the entire road is covered in multiple dump sites. Once you get beyond the heap of trash, I was unable to locate any trail. I moved on to a different trail. Very disappointing.
Cool old hiking trail. Steep climbs, interesting stuff off-trail, right around the corner from the firemen’s memorial. Needs a little maintenance love, probably wouldn’t hike in tick/spider season.
