Long family history/tradition at this beautiful spot. The swimming area is clean and gorgeous...and rarely over populated. Recently I've been heading down to swim since my pool is closed and it has been amazing seeing and talking with other families that have also been coming here for decades. Several generations. This is a gorgeous and peaceful place. Just an hour and forty minutes from St. Louis. Worth the drive even for a brief day trip, and nice to camp at too.

A place I’ve visited my entire life. Don’t expect cell service. It’s a quiet beautiful place to spend the day (or camp). The Huzzah creek is clear and chilly, perfect for a hot summer day! Again, it’s remote so plan ahead.

I was terribly disappointed in this campground. I reserved a site and when I arrived, what I imagine was a local’s truck was parked at my camp site.nI surveyed the site and saw there was no attempt by park staff (or campground host) to make a a decent pad for a tent. Clearly the Huzzah floods often by the look of the campground loop and it looks like a natural disaster hit. Back to the intruder parking in my reserved spot- there must not be a day use fee because the there were likely 20 or more people- not camping but down at the river. On my way to check out the river I found empty beer cans and other debris and unfriendly (or drunk) people who were likely the ones in my spot.nI left. Drove another hour to Silver Springs campground where there IS a fee for day use and the park is well managed.nI would not recommend Red Bluff except for the one site up in the ridge away from the flooded out sites.
