Wonderful campground! Our site was big and services worked, great water pressure. Very nice things to do if you have kids. Great swimming pool, a lot of equipment. Went for a long hike just in the campground. So beautiful! Staff very friendly, fellow campers very friendly. Will be back!

This was a wonderful campsite. The dogs and I stayed one night passing through. Very nice people that looked out for us because a tornado may have passed through. Said they would wake me up and take the dogs and I to there storm shelter.nI just felt like we were back in northern Michigan. Beautiful scenery.

For being built in 1976 (44 yrs old) this campground has everything you need! Lots of trees & green grass. Boo-boos Lake where you can fish, kayak & take the dogs swimming. There are 3 pools, an Olympic size, a regular pool, and a wading pool for kids. There is a snack-shop near the pool that offers lunch style items. Fire pits at your site & fire wood for sale. This is a gated campground, providing that extra sense of security. There are 400 sites on the property, however only 3-50 amp sites. The rest are 30-amp so bring that converter. I didn’t have one, however the camp office did provide me one during my week stay! Laundry room is nice and clean. There is a small mini-golf course. The basketball court and Tennis courts are in need of repair, it has 44yrs of character. Very accommodating, friendly staff. The management is doing their best to give this old campground a facelift. I believe in the next years to come they will be updating their electric and improving their rough road sections for larger rigs. However overall a wonderful experience, strongly recommend.

We spent one night tent camping passing through. This place is a little on the rough side. Everything we encountered needed attention. 1. We were put right next to a large family there for a reunion. In a large section that had no other campers. I was clear that we were passing through when making reservation. They got into an argument after dark and packed up and left.n2. One of those neighbors fell into a large muddy hole near the shower house during the argument. The next morning we watched an employee drive the tractor needed to repair this hole past a couple times.n3. The shower house mentioned above has three non-functional showers on the men's side, two non-functional urinals, two of the three toilets were working and one of the four sinks worked. There was a sign in the very dark entrance asking us to forgive them for neglecting this for what looked like years of neglect.n4. $28 per night is little on the high side for what we encountered. Considering there are no fire pits or cooking grates.n5. The grass in our area was literally knee high anywhere the light made it through the trees. Didn't look like it had been mowed in a few weeks.n6. This place has a gate going in and out. You have to call a number if you are not a resident camper. At 8PM we waited several minutes after the second phone call for a resident camper who pulled up to let us in. Whoever was inside the office was no where near the counter to push the button.nnOverall this place is huge(0ver 450 sites), has tons of potential. I know times are tough now. From what I seen the owners need to let some of it return to nature and consider quality of the sites over quantity.

Stayed overnight. Large area. Woody with lots of shade trees. Playground, swimming pool. Quiet with accommodating staff. Small Walmart in nearby town. Roads in the park need work (heavily eroded). Lots of unlevel sites. Hookups are on wrong side of site.
