Three years ago, in 2017, I leased 3 cars and had a great experience at Jack Miller. The service was prompt and respectful and the deals were fair. When I returned to buy out the lease of the vehicles back in September 2020 the dealership had changed to Oakes Kia and I was horribly disappointed with the service I received. I was ignored for almost 10 minutes at an unattended reception. When i was finally assisted I waited for over 2 hours for quotes and finally was told that the dealership did not even offer financing for a lease buy-out. It was a waste of my time. I was disrespected and I was lied to! That day I decided to take my business else where -- until this week. Kevin at Oakes called me this week to discuss one of my leases and when I told him about why I would be taking my business elsewhere he assured me that Oakes had a change in management, customer service culture and the finance team. He assured me my experience would be different and that I would receive the level of service that gained my loyalty 3 years ago.nnKevin came through and then some! He did not waste my time. We were able to negotiate a fair deal in a timely and respectable manner. Kevin was helpful, professional and a delightful host at Oakes. He has definitely reassured me of the service there and regained a loyal customer.

My biggest regret in car shopping was ever calling Oakes Kia. From the very beginning, it was a stressful, high pressure, and overwhelming sales experience. Jake was my car salesman, if you can call it that, and proved to be a thorn in my side from Day 1. First, he kept referring to me as “girl” instead of ma’am, Miss, or just my name. I found that off putting and unprofessional. I tried to get a different salesman but the receptionist just forwarded me to Jake again. Every interaction at Oakes was difficult. As someone looking to drive three hours to buy a car from them, they were FAR from accommodating and helpful. It was actually incredibly strange how challenging they were making the ordeal when I was looking into paying over $10,000 for a car. From a high down payment before even seeing the car to refusing to schedule an appointment for the next day, it was truly a nightmare. Luckily, I found a different car for a much lower price (with comparable features) at a smaller family owned dealership who never once used high pressure sales tactics and thoroughly walked me through the entire process as I bought my first car. I do NOT recommend Oakes Kia at all and strongly encourage everyone reading this to research smaller family owned car businesses.

Purchased my Kia in NC then relocated to KC. I have been getting my car serviced with Oakes since around March and I have been nothing short of impressed with the gentleman in the service department. They are wonderful and their customer service is impeccable. If you own a Kia, this place is number 1 in book for servicing it!

Great service! I contacted the service department about an issue with my car and within an hour i was able to pop in to get the usual taken care of and was out the shop on about my day. Jordan was so helpful and the staff moved quickly. Anytime I need to go to the dealership I'll definitely go to Oakes Kia from now on.

We worked with Maddie on the purchase of our new car. Maddie was wonderful she listened to the things we wanted in a car and helped us find the perfect fit. Not once did Maddie or any of the other team members try to pressure us into something we did not desire. Thank you for making our car buying experience so great.
