Roasted Coffeehouse

The lady working at the coffee shop was beyond rude when we tried purchasing 20 cookies (10 each of two varieties). We weren't trying to use food comps or reward credits for the purchase...we had CASH to burn and wanted those delicious cookies to take to a family event we were en route to. She refused to sell us more than $20 (total, not each) of any pastry/bakery items. Very disappointed by the rude customer service and totally confused as to why we couldn't purchase what we wanted to buy.nnKeep your stupid cookies.

If I could give less than 1 star I would ....located inside N.Kansas City Harrah ...they have coffee,sodas, some snacks, pastries and hotel souvenir stuff... the pastries were beautiful but I didn't try them so I can't say weather they were good or not...I'm not a coffee drinker so, again, can't comment on the coffee but, like most hotel convenient stores they are way over priced which I expected so I wasn't surprised. ..the section of souvenirs was probably the saddest selection I have ever seen ...they ought to just stop trying to sell souvenirs at all and add a few more tables if that selection is all they can come up with ..but I doubt they would be able to fill extra tables because the wait time to purchase something is WAY too long and the customer service is abhorrent...2 ladies were working at the register and both just stared blankly at me when I ask what the prices were on any item ( since only a few things actually had price tags)...it's a long story but I'm pretty sure the employees have some sort of scam going on where they double charge people (once at the register and then bill your room too) ..I could tell something shady was going on but it wasn't until after we checked out and heard from my mom the additional charges to our room that I realized what they were doing ...and no, I don't think it was just an honest mistake that was made ...I knew when I was in the shop, at the register, that something wasn't right, I just couldn't put my finger on it at the time ... my recommendation: BUYER BEWARE
