I rented a unit online. The picture of all of their places showed a concrete floor, steel building storage unit. First red flag was not receiving a copy of my contract in my email. Then I had to call them because I thought I had rented at one location and wasn’t able to get in. I called for days, at different times and 3 different numbers I found online, it would ring and ring. No answering machine and no one was picking up during business hours. I also sent messages online through their “contact us” section and didn’t hear anything. Finally, we were able to talk to someone and I was at the wrong location. Ok, my bad. So, we went to the location I rented at. When I pulled up I already had a bad feeling. The unit was not well kept and the paint was peeling off the door. We opened the door and it was horrible. The floor was gravel and there were 2 tarps zip-tied to the floor. The frame was all wood sitting on the gravel so it was starting to fall apart. I was so confused because that is not what was pictured on their site. So, Monday we started to try and call to get ahold of someone about the unit and again we were met with rings and no one answering or answering machine. They finally reached out to us because there was no lock on the unit when they went to do a check on the site. We told them how we felt like we were mislead and we wanted a refund. We were told that unit is meant for cars (not mentioned online), no refund but they would mark us as moved out.

They had a storage unit close to my home that was big enough to store my car in and anything else I wanted. The price was the best I could find in the area, buildings were available 24/7 and I kept my storage building clean when I moved out, I got my deposit back. That never happens.
