the Distribution Center was given the wrong delivery time and there was no way we were going to make the time they were given by the broker. However, the lady in receiving was very nice and made sure that we were not only unloaded but unloaded quickly. Her professionalism and dedication to making sure we were taken care of is truly appreciated. She made a JRV Logistics driver very happy.
I worked at this facility when it was known as Cotter and Company for about 15 years beginning circa 1970. I learned how to do every job in the warehouse and was their top employee. I was given free reign to go through the entire facility and work at any position so I could keep everything on schedule. My dad worked there too as a buyer. I didn’t feel very appreciated there at all. The facility had no heat nor air conditioning. It was brutally hot during the summer and wicked cold in the winter. They also had an obnoxious incinerator they used for burning cardboard, and which probably led to my allergies and asthma. Can anyone tell me if they ever installed heating and air conditioning? Nevertheless, some of my fondest memories are from my years working there, because of the friends I made there.nnI still remember my badge number: 408.
