Absolutely love J. Clark. Peaceful place to see native ND birds all year. Autoroute is a fun way to see a variety of increasingly rare habitats in the state. Also has a canoe trail and fishing platforms with possible walleye. Consult refuge staff for help finding sharp-tailed grouse leks in spring

While there are not many hiking trails, the refuge offers great wildlife viewing opportunities and nice scenery. It is easily accessible by car.
