My best friend rents from there, people are always trying to bust into the units. They need way better security. She's tired of buying locks. They would have got in if they hadn't jammed up the mechanism after they busted the lock off.

The units were clean and in good shape, but I had an issue with someone cutting the lock off my unit and stealing some items. I had only had the unit for about 2 months. I am dealing with the insurance process and it has been fairly easy and they have not given me too much grief to file the claim, so that is a plus. I think that they should provide locks free of charge that would deter thieves, and if locks were placed on all the units to make them all appear used, instead of only having locks on units that are being used, I believe that would help deter the thieves as well. They wouldn't know which units were full or empty. Just a thought. My unit was well-lit and the thieves were still bold enough to cut the lock and take items.

This place has gone way down since it was bought by RedDot. The previous owner had an onsite person you could actually get in contact with. Now it’s Kiosks and a call center in Colorado. Good luck with getting customer service.nnAs mentioned below the climate controlled units aren’t really climate controlled. I had a min/max thermometer in mine and it was from low 40s to over 90 min/max. Cheapskates not running the heat or AC much for climate control.nnOne time the gate stuck closed so I called the call center to be told someone already reported it. So I asked if I could get a call back when it was fixed as it was inconvenient to drive all the way over to find out I can’t get in. I was told just keep stopping by. I stopped by several times and it was over 24 hours until I was able to get back in. Probably need to fire the local maintenance tech.nnIn addition, if you have a theft don’t expect to get any help. Actually expect that they will go out of their way to not help you. The contents of my unit were removed by my ex-wife as RedDot negligently provided her with the access code and location. When I discovered the theft I contacted them to get the video footage as the camera was right above the unit. I was told it took a subpoena to get this. I then asked how long they kept the footage and was told forever. So I filed a police report and they issued a subpoena, but this took a couple of months. At that time RedDot claimed they didn’t keep the footage very long and didn’t have it.nnI then tried to get the call transcript of my ex-wife being given the access codes. They have these readily available, but I was told I needed a subpoena….which I then had issued. They then hired a KC attorney to quash that subpoena and the two additional ones I issued against the attorney and the local maintenance person. Needless to say they spent a lot of money on attorney fees to not give me the call transcripts. So don’t expect any support if your stuff gets stolen.nnNeedless to say I’ve moved to another location that has a real person running the place. Avoid this place like the plague.

We pay for gated protection. They REMOVED THE GATE. They FORCED us to pay for insurance if we didnt have our own. They are now raising the price by 20. They have PEOPLE LIVING IN THEIR UNITS!! And there are NO actual people on the property in case of a problem!
