My family has been going to Hazels for years and we’ve always had great experiences at their old location. Recently they moved to a new location so my mom and I wanted to go see what it was like. To start, the whole atmosphere was different and didn’t give off the same homey feeling like their other place did. Then when it came to ordering, no one knew how to operate the system and they were making incorrect orders, not only for us, but the other customers who were there. Once they finally figured out how to place the order, my gift card didn’t work and they asked me to come back at 3 in the afternoon so that the owner could fix it. (please note we were there at 1) After I had to take my gift card back, because they weren’t planning on giving it back, I had to pay out of pocket. Once our order was placed, we had to wait while they were running around trying to fix orders because they couldn’t get any of the sizes or drinks right for the others waiting. When it finally came time for our drinks, my mom had to have hers fixed because, like the others, they got the size wrong. Then when they handed her the drink, she asked for a sleeve because she ordered it extra hot and it was in a paper cup. They then proceeded to tell us that they didn’t have any. After some more waiting they finally started on my smoothie. We were watching as they started to make it and watched as she put way to much milk in and very little fruit. When it was finished they handed it to me without whipped cream on it like I had asked for when I ordered it and it tasted like milk, not strawberry banana. It will definitely be a while before we go back.
