Undoubtably the best BBQ in central Missouri. The pork steaks, ribs, brisket and pulled pork are the best you will find anywhere. Their pulled pork nachos are wonderful & more than most can eat. In fact most people take part of their meal home because they can't eat all of the generous portions. Sides include deep fried corn on the cob, Mac daddy (smoked Mac & cheese), flake out (smoked potato casserole), sweet potato fries, plus others. For the adventurous try the charros (hot spicy beans). Lonnie Rays may be a 17 mile drive from Columbia but you're taste buds won't be disappointed.
This is by far the best bar b q around! Mike the owner actually cares about his food, makes everything fresh daily, never freezes the meat and always taste great! Call ahead on saturdays to make sure they have enough food as they do occasionally run out, its that damn good!
♥ pure ♥ plain and simple. This place ruined BBQ for for all other establishments because they PALE in comparison to Lonnie Ray's! Never again will the sauce of another pass my lips :-*
