I beautiful area to spend the evening and watch the sunset! Great place to camp, swim and just relax! There is a small amount of litter, but not horrible.

Not exactly the cleanest place, plus lots of inconsiderate, selfish people go here.

Nice place to ride. Look out if its been raining tho, gets very muddy where you pull in at. We were pulling a long toyhauler and I had to use 4wd to get backed up to where We were parking. It did dry up some since we were there for 5 hours. There are Quite a few trails to explore, but not all accessible with a sport quad. We had to turn around a few times. Some of them had deep ruts. But we were able to ride other places and get lots of riding in. Some sand. I don't think you can camp overnight there, but our campground was about 10 miles away, and that place has full services.nOur rig is 60 feet long, so you can get a large unit in and out of the ride area. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive available. As we were there towards the end of june and it rained. Makes about an inch of muck on top, easy to start spinning with lots of weight behind. We would definitely go again the next time we're in North Dakota. Oh yes, if your out of state you need a ride permit, good for a year. But be careful when you get it, think it ran from march to march of the next year. Not January to January as one would think. And it does not tell you on the website till after. They do have a website and you can purchase the permit at before you go. But make sure it's after when the new year starts.

Awesome spot. Free camping on the river. Primitive camping.
