Sites are fairly level, but the road the sites are on is a pretty steep hill which making trekking to the shower house at the top of the hill a journey. Shower house is on its last leg, rotten wood everywhere, and a mostly wood structure. It would provide zero storm coverage if a tornado was coming if camping in that season.nThe grounds themselves though are beautiful. This was a great park in its day and overall still is, but could use some improvements for sure.
Beautiful campground. Large spots so you're not right on top of your neighbors. Clean restrooms and showers.
Very nice camp ground . Pads could stand to be more level (requiring less leveling ). Also less gravel wash out next to pad...possible ankle breaker
It has good spots for tents or travel trailer campers and even bigger RVs. Cell phone signal service was okay for T-Mobile but terrible for Verizon. Lots of trailheads to choose from for nature walks with your dogs.
