I have never had so many problems trying to reserve campgrounds! 2 devices even! Will not let me do anything. POC. Twice I signed up twice said my password didn't work. I just flipping signed up! I am NOT a happy camperud83eudd2c . So after a few tries I finally got it to work. My one star was just for not very easy to reserve. But the campground on the other hand was awesome. The hosts were nice. And we plan to go back. So I'm changing my one star to a three-star. But if you have an easy time getting on the campground is very worth it.

Just got back from spending 5 days at long shoal and I must say the shower ers at the shower house has black and pink mold growing on the walls and floors and the faucets are either broken or leaky and in terrible condition. DO NOT USE. The campground electrical has not been upgraded. The water spigots through out the park don't work. This park used to be a great place to go but not anymore.

This was definitely worth the drive. We were meeting up with a few other campers. There wasn’t anyone at the booth when we arrived a little before 4pm, but the sign had instructions on early check-Ins. Basically, if there isn’t someone still in your spot, you can check in early. Otherwise, check in is at 6pm.nnMy only real complaint here was the lack of signage on each loop. We pulled in to the first loop looking for our spots (040, 043, & 045) but the first loop wasn’t ours. Pulled into the next loop and found them. Other than the pole markers at each individual spot, there’s no signs telling you which numbers are down each loop. Better signage would prevent confusion in the future.nnOur trailer sizes were from 33’ to about 40’. Each of us were able to back our campers in with ease and no obstructions. Most spots are fairly level but are gravel so some require additional leveling than others.nnThere aren’t a lot of electric hookup spots here and I believe all are 30amp. There are no water hookups but there is a fill station and water spouts located in various parts of the grounds.nnThe grounds were very well kept! Lawns were mowed but there was still enough trees and natural landscaping that keeps the “camping” feel alive. If you’re lucky enough to get a water view, the views are stunning. This isn’t an overpopulated lake, so you’re looking at a pristine glass-like lake surface in the mornings. Absolutely beautiful.nnThe beach is really large! Not a lot of shade but nothing that a beach umbrella or canopy wouldn’t fix.nnThe ramp (if you’re dropping in) is easy to find and well marked. Parking is plentiful for boat trailers.nnMarina Restaurant :nWe always bring plenty of food when camping but some friends suggested that we try out the Long Shoal Marina restaurant. Our first night here we had heard they were doing a seafood buffet special so we tried it out. The parking is a little ways from the restaurant but there is also closer parking for disabled and people over 65. My kids enjoyed the walk down the bridge anyway.nThe facility is well kept, clean, and the staff is friendly. For the buffet, they required that you sanitize hands and then place food service gloves on before handling serving utensils (sanitizer and gloves are provided). If buffet isn’t your thing, they also have a regular menu (see menu pictures). There is also a selection of alcoholic drinks available. The indoor/outdoor seating options are a really nice touch!nWe enjoyed the buffet and my kids enjoyed mini corn dogs and fries. Everyone was pleased with their food.nnMarina store: within the same building as the restaurant, there’s a small store with various items for sale.nnWe’ve already talked about booking future spots here. This is now in my top three favorite camping locations. Well done, Long Shoal!

Campground is always well-maintained. Camped weekend of 6/5/2020 in Space 100. Although the weather was very hot and we experienced LOUD early morning announcements of fishing tournament on the water, I would still recommend and appreciated the quiet hours and there not being spaces full of drunk people. The bathrooms were clean and the showers are adjustable temps. We spent a lot of time in the water and it was better than the day beach up the road. For something fun to do with the kids, go to the marina and buy fish food for 50 cents and you’ll see the beautiful bright koi fish amongst all the carp. Great service @ restaurant, as well!
