Their website has bad information. We attempted to come 2 times and nobody bothered to tell us that it is members only because of covid. :(

Don't waste your money on a membership here if the pool is your main purpose of using the YMCA. FOUR times in the last 30 days we have not been able to swim when we wanted with varying excuses each time. Each of these times we called ahead to make SURE we would be able to swim, because getting 5 kids ready for the pool isn't exactly easy. On one of those occasions a family member drove 2 hours just to have a day at the pool with us, only be told they were closing early because there weren't enough people there. Which we were not told was a risk when calling prior. Today we called TEN minutes before going, and when we got there they had closed the outdoor pool for some potential rain coming in, and let the outdoor pool occupants swim inside, and turned away anyone new coming in. WHY pay 70 dollars a month to just have to turn around and go home every single time you want to swim? Ridiculous. TERRIBLE customer service, zero accountability. Absolutely done with the Monett YMCA.

I’ve spent money having a birthday here for my daughter and my family and I “ were” members. It’s a nice place but administrative and employees don’t seem to know the outdoor pool schedule it’s disappointing to children after telling them we will be going swimming after employee tells us it is open and then getting there and it’s not. Employees need to at least have something they can go off of. And birthday party’s are a whole other can of worms

There are many things to enjoy at the YMCA in Monett, and overall it deserves a 4 stars. The gym is somewhat mediocre (it only has 2 squat racks and one deadlifting platform with no bumper plates, but few enough people have gone so far for the lack of more squat stations to matter, and Olympic lifting is still allowed at least). The staff can be somewhat abrasive, as other reviews will attest. But there are a number of things to enjoy, like racquet ball courts, an indoor track, a nice pool, roller skating, and a small ropes course. There are also daycare programs to help parents be able to work out.

We love not only exercising here, but having fun as well! The family package is a fantastic deal, and the staff at the childcare center are so sweet with our daughter.
