Wonderful hiking and views! It's like a miniature Colorado Monument you can walk.nMy boyfriend chose the final lookout to propose to me this weekend which made for some very beautiful backdrop to the beginning of our new chapter. This park is the worth the drive and it's close to other sites to see and the lake. You can also stay in Scott City which has a fantastic Best Western and some good restaurants.nI'll probably be back soon to hike again.

Well maintained trails and a clean bathroom. The parking lot is nice and seems pretty new. There are lovely trails to hike and good info boards.nnThe parking lot is fairly small so pulling a camper here isn't a good idea. The fee is $5 and the rangers absolutely come. We saw tickets on cars when we left and we'd only been there about an hour to watch the sunset. Have a state park pass or pay the fee.

A new gem for the state parks in Kansas. The rock formations are unlike anything expected. There are three lookout points. and two trails. The longer trail is more of a gentle walk than a hike, only a little over a mile one way. The trail has interpretive signs of the flora and fauna. Just wish they described some of the insects as well. The views are tremendous. If you are not afraid of a bit of county dirt road driving it is well worth the stop.nNote: If you go on the long trail, look at the spire, you will see rock swallow nests and maybe one flying in.

Absolutely one of a kind! Amazing walking tour with Kansas wildlife information. Two trails up on both sides, about 3 miles total. The Nature Conservancy recently purchased it and it is the newest state park in Kansas.
