Jade Buffet

Clean Clean Clean! I go to a lot of Chinese Buffets and this is the cleanest one I have ever been to by far! There wasn't any grime anywhere. The table condiment shined and even the windowsills were free of dust. They even tip their tables to clean under them after guests leave. I definitely trusted the food they served. We arrived about 7 PM. The food was fresh (no complaints there). They served things like craw dads, fried scallops, honey chicken, salmon, spring rolls, ect. They have an ice cream machine along with all the toppings. It cost us about $45 for two adults and two kids with three drinks.

I really pray this place opens back up. Wonderful food.!

Maybe my expectations were too high but was not impressed.nFirst issue: About the only stuff that was on the buffet in any quantity was Lo Mein noodles. At least 1/4 of the items were completely out or very slim - picked over portions. The items they did have looked like it had been sitting on the buffet for quite a while. While the flavor was good it certainly would not be classified as fresh.nSecond issue: I got my bill and it said $9.00 total. When I got to the register, the lady started hollering at the waitress and told me my total was $11.45. There were no signs to tell the price so I went ahead and paid and left. I really fell like I should have paid what my bill said even if it was an error.

So disappointed. I remember when all the food tasted so good! Everything I had was either overcooked, undercooked, or rubbery from probably being in the microwave. There were full digestive tracts left in many of the shrimp and crawfish. The food was brought out frequently, so there was always something to choose from. The waitress pretty much ignored us until we were finished and then she came over and just took all the plates without asking if we were done.

Who says fast food has to be some gross hamburger wrapped in paper? I was in and out of the Jade Buffet and I had a wonderful hot meal! Beautiful atmosphere and courteous staff!!
