Obviously your experience at the theater depends on what is on the stage, but so far I have nothing but good experiences. The Jayhawk theater is a nice bit of Topeka history and many of the shows at the moment are designed to be a service for the community.

Wouldn't know we were not inside, just parked outside eating our lunch. It was a nice shady place.

My work had a little gathering there. The employees are awesome! The food was good. The atmosphere was was great. I love old historic places and they offered to take anyone who wanted on a tour. Loved it!

It is such a beautiful building! The embellishments and attention to detail with so much still original! If you love old buildings it is a must see. My only complaint is that it was cold. The old theater seats are long gone so the event planners used folding chairs and there were a few tables. I know that it is a work in progress and will only get better, I'll happily go again!

Still pretty rustic, but the show was great. Be prepared as like in dress appropriate to the outdoor conditions. The existing HVAC is also rustic.
