Quinton Heights Hill

So much fun sledding here as a kid. My kids and grandkids have enjoyed the snowy hill in winter, too. If it's safe for you and/or your family to drive to this hill after a good snowfall, then I really recommend it. But, do not visit this hill if you cannot walk distances, have leg or back problems, or suffer from harsh effects of cold weather, as this hill requires a fairly long & steep walk to the top and hill top parking is minimal, so you'll have to park down the hill, thus a walk to the top. There's no restrooms at the hill or close by. There's no where to warm your hands or feet. Sledding this hill is for the rigid at heart.nIt's a must for anyone

Was country club park a very laid back place pretty scenery me and my dog goes there often

It is an annual Topeka tradition to sled down this hill if we get enough snow. It's free and open to the public but look out for that famous bump! Many a kid has been wiped out and broken their sleds on it. It's always a good time. You can go as fast or slow as you want but keep in mind there are no staff to watch your kids. It's just a popular hill. Bring the family and stop at the Sonic across the street or the Kwik Shop on 17th and Topeka Blvd for hot cocoa. Make some memories and take pictures!

Love it. I do wish they had benches for grandparents and disabled to sit in.
