Such a peaceful, calm place to visit. I got married here and had my reception in the garden house. Best day of my life. You have to walk through the gardens at least once. So well maintained and new features all the time.

Gorgeous park

Lovely garden next to a cleaner- and larger-than-expected lake. Decent fishing to boot, which was also a surprise. Coming from Lawrence, my favorite aspect of this treasure is its accessibility via two-lane roads. Excellent place to go for a road trip from Kansas City. The garden is just adjacent to Shawnee Lake and the view and ambience is too good. You can book shelters also. Its windy and cool ambience is perfect for summer. You can take your kids too for small park nearby. Must visit in Topeka.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Topeka. I have brought my kids there since they were babies. Now at 56 yrs old I bring my grandbabies and my daughters will even tag along still with me.
