Lake Shawnee Campground

The park was busy, but that’s to be expected for a Friday night. The 50 amp section was very crowded compared to the 30 amp side. It was fairly quite and mostly clean. It was nice being right on the water. We did not use their facilities so I can’t comment on that. The lady in the office was very nice. We arrived late Friday night but couldn’t figure out how to pay. She was understanding and had no issues with us paying in the morning. Not bad for a cheap overnight stay.

Nice campground

If this campground had sewer hookup, I would live here! Clean, quiet, beautiful sites and spectacular lake. Water, 50 amp electric and only $18.00 to overnight. Oh, and less than 5miles off I-70. We'll be back..next time through.ud83dude0aud83dudc95

We are traveling cross country and staying at campgrounds overnight so we can use AC and get showered. This was the cheapest and most beautiful by far. Showers were clean but lacked temperature control and we're a little on the hot side. Was not terribly crowded for a weekend. $18 you can't beat it!

This is our first time at Lake Shawnee campground and we will be back! We love it! It is clean, beautiful and friendly personnel! The water views are amazing!
