Kansas Historical Society Nature Trail

Great place for the kids to go and explore

I like these trails...quiet and peaceful!

Absolutely awesome!!! Beautiful trails going through typical Kansas natural settings (tallgrass prairie, woodland streams, etc.) along with some nice informational tablets. The big problem here is trying to figure out where the trails are, especially the North Trail. For the most part, they're marked out with woodchips but with some sections in the woods, the woodchips peter out, then it's a blind guess about where to go. (Actually had to pull out my cellphone and start Google Maps just to check to see if I was on museum property.)

It was good exercise.

Great place to bring a homeschool group.
