Shunga Trail

I have been gone from Topeka for 3 and 1/2 years. Now that I am back home on the Seneca Trail in Shawnee County I remember everything and I loved every bit of it. There are so many new trails new directions and more and more miles to ride. I am so impressed that I'm in tears. But I love Topeka. Praise God

A nice relaxing walk to let me know.........How out of shape I am!!! But it was great. Now about that Ben-Gay stuff....

Very beautiful scenic walkway along Shunga Creek. Use caution. Homeless people. Criminal people. Illicit Drug users.

Nice trails...you feel safe walking here.

So far I've only hike the section between Fairlawn and partway past Gage (around the are of Wells Park/Warren Nature area). Pretty good trail, especially in the area past Gage. Lots of nice trees, relaxing stream running alongside.nnHowever, I'm not too sure about the Crestview section. While there is a nice stream on one side, with plenty of large trees growing alongside, on the other side is the urban area. Even along the stream the far side had housing built right up to the edge of the embankment. Not quite the most relaxing of nature walks.
