I've been going to Empower's Krav Maga classes for a year and a half. I enjoy the class structure, the people that come, and Master Beisel approach in teaching. I also like to tell people not very many places say hit harder or faster but this place does. Highly recommend checking out what's offered here and to join this community.
I want to preface my review by saying that I don’t typically write bad reviews because I would prefer to work with a business directly and resolve the situation in a private manner. However, Empower Martial Arts wasn’t willing to resolve this in that way or even at all. Read the contract very carefully and DON’T TRUST WHAT IS COMMUNICATED VERBALLY. I foolishly felt I could trust what I was told and didn’t read the fine print. Once you sign up, you’re locked into a minimum of two months regardless of when you cancel. I had multiple conversations with them that included my intent to only participate for one month as well as my desired membership end date PRIOR TO signing up and they still failed to communicate this to me. I found out when they took another payment out of my bank account. I have reached out directly and had three separate phone conversations asking them to own up to their miscommunication and refund my money, to no avail. They teach morals but seem to have forgotten how to practice what they preach. The program itself was good but the business practices are shady and questionable. Keep this in mind before signing a contract or providing your payment information.

Master Beisel and the Empower team are great! Our boys have been going to classes here for several months, our daughter is learning self defense with Krav Maga training and we couldn’t be happier. The Empower team has been super helpful through the COVID shutdown and are continuing training via Zoom for anyone whose not ready to attend the live classes yet. The kids love it. They’re great teachers of physical skills and life skills both!
Amazing people, very positive. Great location.
