Northeast Sedgwick County Park

There is literally nothing here but a parking lot and field. The one sign with a map looks like it was last maintained 20 years ago. No trails. Just a muddy road and a few tree lines. Skip this one even if you desperately need to get out of the house.

Has the potential to be a destination for Sedgwick County. However limiting popular activities such as fishing, hiking and camping greatly inhibit the potential for a space capturing natural beauty such as this to be enjoyed by the general public. While preserving this space is of utmost importance, it could be developed more.

Its 2 square miles of undeveloped land open to the public. If you like to spend money this is not the place for you. You can't hunt, camp, ride bikes, or motor vehicles there. There are hardly even paths. If you like exploring nature and are stuck in Wichita this place is a godsend. Its the closest thing Wichita will ever have to a national park. If you take the time to read my review you deserve to know this place is 5 star wilderness in the land of cars, tractors, and air conditioning.
