H&R Block charged me $435 to file my 2018 taxes. For 2019 I used a local CPA that charged $375 and he found an error in my 2018 taxes where I overpaid $895. That actually cost me over $200 in lost income that I could have made in my online savings account. My CPA filed an amendment for my refund so H&R Block didn't have to do anything except file my complaint. And you know what they did for me? Sent me a refund of $59! They are definitely overpriced for their level of knowledge.
