Fancy Creek State Park

It would get 5 stars if the flood damage in the common areas was cleaned up better.nIt's very nice though, our spots were nice and we'll kept. Everything worked and nobody bothered us. It's a nice quiet campground in a great setting. We will be back again, just hope they find a way to get after the flood cleanup a little better.

Fancy Creek Loop - We've stayed here twice now. We really like the spots; there isn't a lot of traffic except for those who are staying in the loop also. We have quads and side-by-sides so went to the Randolph ORV area to ride. If you haven't been there, HIGHLY recommend! Now, I'm guessing that the Fancy Creek Loop might have been flooded in 2019 and they are working on cleaning, fixing and updating everything. While your first impression may be that it's run down, I can assure you, it's not. My only complaints are that there isn't a dump station (it looks like they're either installing a new one or replacing the one that was there, so we went to the Randolph loop to dump our tanks), and, although the shower house is new, it doesn't seem to want to drain well and the water temperature is not adjustable (so I took a cold shower in mid-October). Other than that, we had a blast and definitely plan to make trips back next year!

Great diverse hiking trails. Some can be challenging, I suggest downloading map from KDPW, take adequate water, hiking sticks and trail shoes.

Love hiking the trails here with my wife and kids. All Trails is an app with maps of it and shows your location along the routes.

I love this area, love camping all over the park, or just going for a few hours to rock hunt. Beautiful, peaceful, and close to home.
