SW Bricktown Park

It was pretty fun. Could use a few more things since there is space and a fence by the river area for kids safety! Do love the No smoking, young lungs at play!

A Hidden Treasure. This little park is tucked just behind the old strip mall, at the foot of Woody Seat Freeway, Adams and Avenue A. You access it off of 1st. The Hutchinson Police Station is just a 1/2 of a block away (so you can feel super safe), and the river is close enough to walk to and see, but far enough away that you don't have to stress a ton about your kids. There's plenty of parking and a covered picnic area with 3-prong plug-ins. There's a large trash can, (which may not matter to anyone else, but I often like to pick up trash in public spaces when I am not playing with the kids, but I don't love the earth enough to want to haul other people's trash back home in my car if there's not a trash can on site, so I am grateful for the large, easily-accessible dumpster.)nParents, dress to play! There is a ZIP LINE and you and I both know that you are going to end up on there, either making your own theme music or recreating some existing, famous spy-themed classic. If you possess ridiculous amounts of self control, you will still probably end up dragging your kid from the middle of said zip line, to one of the platforms often enough that it pays to dress appropriately. You won't believe how long the zip line will hold your kids' attention! There is also the most brilliantly-engineered rope spider web, and this bad boy could hold a mammoth! It's beautiful, challenging and sturdy. There's also slides and additional features to satisfy your child's crave to climb.nDO NOT LET THEM GO BAREFOOT OUTSIDE THE MAIN, DESIGNATED PLAY AREA, THOUGH. SANDBUR STICKERS! We will definitely be back here!
