Pottawatomie County State Lake #1

I’m British living in Texas and came here looking for areas to fish, especially fly fish. The water looks nice and a local gentleman fishing, probably in his early 30’s, gave me some very good advice of also other areas to fish. He even gave me his copy of “Kansas Fishing Atlas”. It’s nice and peaceful here and secluded. I’ll come back to fish and review again. Thanks very much to the guy for his help. God bless you.

Lovely little lake off of HWY 99 with large campsites and lots of trees.

Good place for camping and fishing, but theres a ton more algae/weeds in the water than there used to be

Nice little lake. Limited fishing areas unless you're really into weeds or bring your small boat.
