Would be 5 stars if the tent camping area had electric

$10 per night for water and electricity... what a bargain! They built a new shower house this spring but still need to put in an exhaust fan to clear out the humidity and heat from showering. No mirror or benches to put clothes on, so it's a good start and hopefully the city of Chanute will finish this project to make it a class A shower house! Or better yet.... put sewer hookups to all the campsites!!ud83dude0a

Good level overnight spot. First two nights FREE. Very close to safari museum about the first naturalists movie makers. Also near Octave Chanute memorial.

Prices are pretty reasonable and its real fun.

This is a barebones campground, but it has the essentials. It has water, electric, showers, trash, and dump station. All this for 2 nights free, then $10 thereafter up to 10 days. There are no picnic tables or grills, but the area is clean. I spent more time exploring Chanute than I likely would have without this convenient little campground. Easy access to many things in town, even if you are driving an RV.
