Table Mound Hiking Trail Head

The hike was very nice, with several cool views of the lake. However, when we were there July 2020, the overlook was closed and under construction:((( Also, we ran into lots and lots of horse flies. The kids were freaking out as they kept attacking us. (We treated all our clothing with permethrin and used bug spray before going on the hike) it didn't matter.

Hiking trail is 2 and 3/4 miles long one way beautiful scenery hard to believe your in Kansas!

This is a beautiful hike!

The first mile or so is a great experience for the Littles! A bit rocky but otherwise it's fairly flat and wide. It gets puddles in spots that stay wet longer than the rest of the trail but they're great for poking sticks into the mud ud83dude0a for the Bigs, it's scenic with great views of the lake, huge boulders to sit or climb on, steep slopes to explore off trail or just enjoy a hike, bike or run in the trail
