Over the Rainbow Community Garden

This is an amazing community garden. Passers by can find several resting areas, peruse the books in any of the unique book libraries and participate in the garden's scavenger hunt, all while enjoying the beauty of this garden. But the garden is more than what people see on the surface; the garden is also an incredible teaching tool. Amazing adults who volunteer along side the youth in the community provide guidance as the youth learn real-life skills as well as scholarship opportunities. The garden is a very beautiful place to visit but visitors should know the real beauty lies in the relationships that are formed and the knowledge that is shared as adults and youth work side-by-side toward a common goal.

The community garden is a great asset to Osawatomie. It brings together many community members and everyone benefits from it. It's constantly getting bigger and better.
