Wilson State Park

Beautiful lake and park. Friendly staff. Well maintained campgrounds. Will definitely stay again. Water and electric sites for most. Only a handful of full hooks. But dumps stations all around park. Won't be disappointed. Take a trip into the small City of Wilson to see the Czech eggs and stop by the market for amazing meats, cheese and summer sausage.

Lot of great spots to choose from. The lake is beautiful. Clean park. Stayed right by the water. Would have done some fishing, but just a quick overnight stay as we were passing through. Hope to be back again.

We stopped at Wilson State Park for one night on a road trip out west through Kansas. What a great little surprise it was to depart from the monotony of Kansas farmland and come here! It is beautiful with well-marked campsites, showers and toilets, a fun running/mountain biking trail, and it is a great location for stargazing at night!

It's easy to joke that Kansas is a boring state to drive through. But when we saw this park and lake were only 10 minutes of I-70 we wanted to give it a shot. We're so glad we did. It was such a relaxing place. The lake is beautiful, and we found plenty of shade where we stopped. As an added bonus, the mountain biking trails here are fun and challenging, too. It was a great place to spend several hours at after several hours on the road.

We drove to Wilson from Wichita for a day on the lake with out boat. It was about mid-August and am so sad that we waited so long in the season to come check it out! It is a gorgeous lake. Water is so clear that we were able to snorkel around the really cool rock coves. Will definitely make the drive again!
