It's a beautiful place, my mother in law had us do did family pictures here in the gardens this year. A year ago we rented the building for a baby shower, it's not an overly large space but it was perfect for the occasion.

The trail is nice, the flowers are relaxing and the kids really enjoy the zip line set.

A very nice and very well kept small town city park. Very large, it has several Pavilions and lots and lots of picnic tables and benches that you can sit at. Lots of shade from the huge trees that grow inside the park.none of the very unique things that I noticed about this part, is the memorial trees. Apparently it is very popular in this area to dedicate a memorial tree to a lost loved one. As you walk around the park you see all kinds of trees with Memorial signs dedicated to different individuals. A very nice way to remember someone I think.

The Parsons Arboretum is a show of the ingenuity of Mr Ken Ervin and a few other like minded citizens who had the forethought to save a lovely bit of landscape on the south side of town that at one time was the subject of a now long gone ideal of segregation. This land was at one time the public swimming pool for the Black community during segregation. Now that those archaic ideals have fallen by the wayside, EVERYONE gets a chance to enjoy this gem..Im so pleased to see that progress has taken place in our community and WE CAN ALL GET ALONG!!
