My family and I just recently relocated to Kansas City. We were staying with my mother-in-law in Olathe. We had to return our Penske Rental so I bought a unit from Olathe Self Storage. Well we ended up getting a a place before the truck needed returned. I never even used or went to the storage unit nor did I place anything in the storage unit. I called the owner and asked for my $129 back since I NEVER used the storage unit and she refused to give it back. That's greedy and selfish. We never even used the storage unit and the lady STILL refused to refund my money. If your thinking of buying a unit with Olathe Self Storage, DON'T. They rip people off. You just commented and said 'when you entered the CONTRACT, you knew it was a month to month and it is nearly impossible to give refunds when tenants arent signed into a contract for any length of time'. That's a lie. The contract is 30 days. That IS a length of time. You contradicted yourself ud83dude06.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Very safe and secure. Laura is amazing. I rented here a year ago (2018), and I'm moving again and they were very accommodating on my needs and pricing. The manager lives on site so there's always someone there at the property and they have ample lighting. The gate access is easy for coming outside of office hours. And, I cannot emphasize enough the customer service Laura provides. She's wonderful! Don't go anywhere else for your storage needs in Johnson County!
