The dining hall at UMKC has good food, but it definitely doesn’t fit into the healthy category. As a commuter, I only eat here every once in a while, because it is extremely expensive for what it is. It’s mostly comfort food. If I were living in the dorms, I don’t know how I would like eating pizza, ice cream, pasta, Chinese, and fries every meal. There is a small area at the front called simple servings for those with dietary restrictions, but it is normally limited and very bland. As someone with food allergies, I just take the risk and eat the better food. They do have a nice salad bar, but if you’re trying to eat healthy or are vegan, it is the only healthy option there. For the price, hopefully UMKC looks into expanding the simple servings and salad bar selections in the future. For $8-9, I recommend going to other food options around the area.

Amazing service!! From the entrance to the food stations everyone is nice. They offer a buffet service so that solves the fact that they use small plates. You want to check their website before hand and know what you're going into cause it might not be what you want and then you end up wasting money ud83eudd37ud83cudffe‍♂ufe0f
