I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Alex from Musician Core. The zoom setup is perfect and I feel I have had great progress with improving my guitar playing skills. I have been with them for almost 6 months have really enjoyed it and plan to continue for the foreseeable future.
I was only able to take about 6 lessons with Billy. (I ran into some time constraints.) I enjoyed Billy's demeanor and he was very knowledgable about the guitar. There are online lesson plans that are very helpful.nI think this is a great program. Lucas reached out to me as soon as I signed up and walked me through the process to get me started.
I like Lucas's teaching style. He teaches us the theory. We learn new skillsneach month which build on the previous month's skills. One month mayncontain rock music, another blue grass, blues, jazz, folk, etc., dependingnupon the skills to be taught. Each month has a unique finger warm up,nthen usually two songs he has composed, that are appropriate , yetnchallenging to the level of the student he is teaching. He has a playnback track for each month's curriculum which enables us to hear howneach warm up and song is to be played. Along with the lesson, eachnstudent picks a song to work on independently. He provides positivenfeedback and encouragement.
Musician core has proven to be a very efficient way to take online guitar lessons for my 12-year-old son. He was pretty bummed when his teacher retired, but his online teacher, Alex, is wonderful, and very patient. Everyone is very helpful at setting up our accounts and making sure we have everything we need . My son cannot wait until Thursday night when it is time for his lessons. They are also extremely flexible In rescheduling if need be! I Highly recommend Musician core!
Great instructors and great lessons. I started with private lessons and moved to group classes. Lucas and Alex are great at breaking down the content so all levels of experience (beginner in my case) can understand. I enjoy playing and look forward to lessons every week. It's all online too! So I don't have to drive to a lesson and can spend more time playing guitar.
