Shawnee Mission Park Dog Off-Leash Area

I come here almost daily and I love it, hiking trails, paved path to the lake, and I also jog with my dog on one of the dirt paths. This is the biggest dog park I've come across and my little dachshund loves dipping his face in the water. It's a great place for the animals to be social and free.

Great place but a little worrying people bring dogs that aren't other dog friendly and they don't care if they're dogs are making issues for other owners. There's dog poop that people don't pick up which kind of annoys me. The space is very open and great but you gotta be sure your dogs call back is good. The place was lovely and my dog enjoyed it very much. The view from the lake was amazing as well.

Best off leash dog bark in KC Metro. Has so much room to run around, wide walking paths and access to lake so if your dog likes to swim. Just remember to bring a towel for the ride home

I go here alot. Love it. During busy hours there is usually a ton of people but on the weekday or early weekend mornings there isn't too many people. I love the lake at the end of the park. My dog always goes there to cool off. There is a water fountain too located in the middle of the path before you get to the lake.
