Halloween Express Olathe

I dont normally do reviews but after being here 2 and a half hours tonight and not being able to find anything to fit my daughter staff and manager was more then helpful trying to piece outfits together and needless to say we came out happy customers I will not go anywhere else. And will be recommending them to family and friends!

Love this place, great selection and biggest animatronic section in Olathe.

I don’t write reviews, but today I feel compelled to. To start off, don’t bother being greeted if you’re of color. The people before and after me were greeted, but we weren’t.nnSecondly, forget about trying costumes on. Despite the place being absolutely dead, I had to have a worker unpack the costumes I wanted to try on, and stand right next to my stall. I had to try each and every costume on INDIVIDUALLY. And she had to wait on me every time. NEVER in my life have I ever encountered something so restricting. I get theft is a problem, but I know this does not happen on a consistent basis. Selection is great, but I left because I had absolutely no freedom or privacy whatsoever. I felt profiled x1000.nnStay away if you’re of darker complexion. Party City is much more lax.

You all asked how you could do better. For starters I'd like to be greeted when I come in especially when you all weren't busy at all. Second when I mention I work at a different Halloween store dont be completely rude to me. I feel like you all would go out of your way to be friendly to me. But one of the older ladies then was very nice to the rest of my family when I decided I couldn't be there anymore after a younger guy was extremely rude to me for working somewhere else. She is the only reason I even gave you all a rating of 3 and not a rating of one. You really should be thanking this lady. Kudos to her.
