Higgins is the best location I've ever found to purchase all things Highland and bagpipe related. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable oh, I would recommend anyone involved in the Highland Arts at all or someone who's simply looking to purchase a kilt there source of supply should be Higgins.

Great people that work here, everyone is so helpful and nice. But if you need a kilt, etc. theirs are gorgeous!!! So beautiful, with huge amount of tartans to choose from and extraordinarily well crafted. Go visit and see everything they do!

I've talked to John Higgins a few times over the phone and he has been not only helpful but friendly and courteous. However there is one employee who I've spoken with a couple of times who is quite rude, smug and arrogant. If you're going to call, have the patience to either wait on hold for John himself or call back.

Customer service before the sale is great. But after the sale, it is non-existent. One of my students bought a set of McCallum bagpipes along with a Campbell tunable chanter and had serios trouble with the chanter. Four other seasoned pipers tried it and likewise had trouble. Higgins Ltd. told my student he was stuck with it, and would not trade it out for a regular band chanter, nor would they offer any other help. So McCallum Bagpipes in Scotland took care of Higgins' shortcomings for them.nnJohn, it wasn't you. But you have an employee you need to have a talk with. It isn't just me or my student. This is spreading in the piping community.
