Blue River Parkway Trails - River Trail Trail Head

Walkers and hikers will enjoy The Blue River Parkway Trails just south of Kansas City neighborhoods. The trails weave through the woods. My favorite is the bluff above the Little Blue River just south of Kansas City neighborhoods.

Miles of cool biking and hiking trails along the scenic Blue River. Only marred by occasional trash piles.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained trail that goes right along the river. Even on a hot day it was cool hiking in the shade. You can go right up to the water and the trail leads to some awesome rock-skipping spots! The river bank is full of smooth flat stones.nWe will definitely be going back to explore this peaceful and scenic trail even more.

Awesome place to hike.... Not hard core by any means but a great place to go with a friend or your lady....

It was pretty fun and a really nice view but I’m leaving out one star because my sister and I found a hand gun in the river (we reported it and the police came and took care of it of course). But yea real pretty area and a nice relaxing walk but it’s Missouri, what are ya gonna do.
