Disappointed in the school and I can't wait to move to pull my son out. Principal Anderson is extremely unprofessional. He suspended my child from school for something that he had no proof of... he didn't even tell my child that he was suspended and he claims that he called and left a voicemail that my child was suspended... but I didn't receive it so I dropped my son off the next day and the office lady called me and told me I needed to come back and get him because he is suspended. They didn't even give me the right up until I turned around and went back to get my child. I said what do you mean he is suspended. I emailed the principal to tell him how unprofessional it is to suspend a child without even telling them and leaving a voicemail to assume that the parent has received it and how that could have been really dangerous if I didn't have my cell phone on me for them to call me. He didn't even email me back. We have had nothing but problems with this school. They have a really awesome y Club program and we are going to miss all of the Y Club teachers tremendously when my child gets pulled out. If you're thinking about moving your child to this school I would definitely reconsider.
I don't even know what to say about this place for except that the principal is a mean unfair jerk. He has no respect for me nor my friends I'm glad I'm leaving this place. Ps the teachers are the best part
i loved Nieman Elementary! My first day there,everybody was so kind and welcoming! The faculty and teachers are amazing! I had so many great memories! I miss it alot!

Our family transferred to this school mid year from the Olathe school district. Staff was very helpful in easing our transition. I have three children attending this school and have found each of the teachers to be professional and courteous. Principal Anderson has been very kind and encouraging in all IEP meetings and other interactions. He is somewhat quiet, but seems to genuinely care about the children under his care.
