Chai Shai

Love Chai Shai and so glad they are still open! The food is delicious and their patio is very pleasant if you prefer to eat there. Easy to order and get your food no matter which option you prefer.

Perfection. Every. Single. Time.nnBy far one of my favorite local places in KC! The bold flavors & spices really make the dishes. LOVE the spiced mango, but didn’t know I like the spiced pomegranate just as much!nTry the lamb korma for a flavorful meat dish or try the Gajar Aloo for a satisfying vegetarian dish! You won’t be disappointed.

I love this place. Every time it’s a delight. Please be aware that they cook some things to order once you’ve arrived, so you leave with everything best prepared. Well worth it!

I have been working at Indian restaurants since I was 17 (Mother India, Great India, Taj Palace) and Chai Shai is hands down my favorite. It's a beautiful mix of Indian and Pakistani, they have really made a unique menu that is unlike any other restaurant in KC.nnI do not in any way say this lightly because it's a big deal but here it goes: Chai Shai has the best samosas I have ever had in my entire life. They were perfect, absolutely destroyed me ever enjoying samosas anywhere else.nnIn conclusion, try this place, it's exceptional. Wonderful staff and phenomenal food. Prices are reasonable and fair. Lunch specials are really good and they usually run a special at night that is delightful.nn****I thought I was done but I want to mention that they close in the winter for a couple of months so that the staff can have time off to travel and go see family. I was so impressed with this, especially since many employees are from another country. I love the owners attitude about his employees, he is a stand up and thoughtful man.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always good and they keep the spot well kept all the time. Rates are reasonable and they serve large portions.
