Sunflower Nature Park

Its a nice small park with a paved walking trail approx 1 mi. Its quiet and peaceful. Never crowded. Has several benches to stop and enjoy the surroundings.

I usually stop there to stretch my legs from driving. The trail is paved and relatively flat with a few inclines. If you don’t want to walk/ run/ bike the whole trail it has two folks in the trail to circle back. Nice and clean restrooms and two ball fields in the west side and information kiosk on the east side. I have been there with my family to bike on weekday evenings and there had typically been 4 - 10 people walking the whole trail! The grounds are kept mowed and clean every time we have been there. I highly recommend this park!

Quiet park nice place to read a book or just take a romantic walk

I absolutely love walking here but I wish they would clean up the water.

Driving to Linwood and accidentally going the wrong way to return to Kansas City, my husband and I stumbled upon this nature park. Curious as I am about new trails and new scenery, I had to get out of the car for a walk while my husband stayed in the car and played on his phone. It was a beautiful walk and I took several pics that turned out just beautiful. The place is very quiet with lots of little surprises to be discovered. It would be a great place to meet alone with yourself, meditate or just get lost in your thoughts while the sun shines upon your face. The trail is in excellent shape and no worries about poisonous foliage if you stay on the path. Worth the serene adventure!
