Audubon Sanctuary

A remote bird sanctuary with plenty of shores to bird watch. I arrived prior to sunrise and found a spot to stay to see what flew in. I saw mallards and what looked like swans. If I had more time, I may have stayed longer because there were a plethora of animal tracks running along the shoreline. Otherwise, great place for bird watching. Recommend waterproof boots (the shores were frozen in the morning, but muddy by the afternoon), and a seat to wait patiently. Plenty of brush to conceal yourself decently.

The Perry Lake Hiking Trail intersects this sanctuary. A good place for trail access and a nice place for wildlife viewing.

What a peaceful, well maintained area to bird watch. Saw Chickadees, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and Hawks.

Great place to see shorebirds in the Spring.
