The site didn’t offer much in terms of a view or landscape but the amenities available were great. We had spent a couple of nights at campsites without showers and when we got here, we were very grateful for warm showers, laundromat, vending machines and the such. The campsites itself are pretty large sites.nnThere is a railway track that borders the campsite but thankfully while we were there, we didn’t hear any trains in the night. So it was nice and quiet. But in the morning, we had quite a few trains chugging by loudly.
Just more comforting having a fire pit and cleaning facility than the usual lock and loaded public access faclities
The location is next to the dog park and local water park. :) It’s also near a small zoo, so you have all the zoo smells too. Several large paved pull through spots available. No management on site during our 1 night stay.
Right next to the zoo so that is cool, a little stinky by not bad. The bathrooms need better up keep, while they are not dirty, the soap was out the entire time and the showers are cold, not hot water at all.
This was a very nice campsite. It was out in the open so there is nothing to shield you from the wind and rain. This is not the campgrounds fault. Overall nice place to stay just keep a lookout for the weather.
