Wow..a egg..ud83eudd37♂ufe0f
Wilson, Kansas was settled by Czech immigrants originally. While Christianity was persecuted in their homeland the people learned to put Christian messages on their festive decorated eggs. When they came to Kansas they continued creating these beautiful eggs. This one was made by a local artist for the town of Wilson to display. We stopped there for lunch in the downtown diner that featured fresh made potato chips and real soda fountain drinks. The restaurant in the classic limestone hotel was closed because it was Monday, but we really enjoyed the food and service at the diner. Wilson Lake is only 10 miles away with hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. It is a great day trip!
very colorful. took forever to make it but it's super pretty. it's a giant egg. if you're heading through the area stop at one of the restaurants and check it out i guess.
We were traveling across the country from Seattle to South Carolina and we really wanted to stop at an attraction along the road and this was the perfect one! Definitely recommend ud83dudcaf! It gives you a chance to stretch your legs and get some insight on a small Kansas town culture.
How do your know if you're in Kansas. This place is just few miles from I-70. If you're doing road trip and you're at I-70, just few minutes away, it's worth it for a few minutes of detour. Worth to visit and some few history. How did they build it? It's a perfect egg shape. Anyways, see for your self. We're on a road trip and look for places in Kansas or what I called some hidden gem in Kansas.
